| Grasses | Name | Description |

 | Blue Grass | Cool-season grass. Likes cold weather and will tolerate very cold weather. Extreme heat and drought are stressors but BlueGrass recovers quickly. Rhizome growth creates a strong sod. Recommended for lawns, parks, sports fields, and other commercial grass areas. Requires moderate maintenance. |
 | Bent Grass | Very cold tolerant and moderately heat tolerant. Should be closely mowed (1/2 inch or less. Excellent for golf courses. |
 | Tall Fescue | Low maintenance, cool-season, bunch-type grass suitable for a wide variety of uses including sports fields. Very popular for lawns in the mid-Atlantic states. Good drought resistance. |
